Team Info
The Jaguars began playing in the NFL as an expansion team in 1995 and in just their second season they advanced to within one game of the Super Bowl before losing to the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game. The Jaguars returned to the playoffs in 1997, 1998 and 1999, once again losing in the AFC Championship game (33-14 to the Tennessee Titans). Since then Jacksonville have struggled to top the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC South, but continue to put together competitive teams that compete for playoff berths every year. With a strong roster, Jacksonville had high hopes but devastating injuries to their offensive line dented post-season hopes and the Jags ended with a 5-11 season. They are more than capable of completing a quick return to the playoffs in 2009.
