Team Info

The Panthers joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1995 and made a very impressive start by winning seven games in their inaugural season. In just their second season, the Panthers won the NFC West Division with a 12-4 record and advanced to the Super Bowl semi-finals (NFC Championship Game) before losing to the Green Bay Packers. Two seasons after posting a league-worst 1-15 record, the Panthers made it all the way to the Super Bowl in 2003, losing 32-29 to the New England Patriots on a last-second field goal. They returned to the NFC Championship game in 2005, missing out on a Super Bowl trip after being beaten 34-14 by the Seahawks. Although they have not returned to the playoffs since then, the Panthers have the players on offense and defense to beat any team on any given Sunday.
