Wembley tickets set to go on sale
Type: Latest Series
24 January 2010 8:52 PM - Henry Hodgson
Fans still have a limited amount of time to get their names on the Register of Interest for the International Series at Wembley in October 2010.
The Register of Interest will close at 5:00pm GMT this Wednesday January 27th prior to tickets going on sale for the San Francisco 49ers' game against the Denver Broncos on October 31.
The 49ers-Broncos game will be the only International Series game played in the UK in 2010, so tickets are certain to go fast.
The NFL sent this message to fans regarding the discussions about playing a second game in the UK.
"Playing one game in the UK is a significant investment. Playing a second game in the UK is an even bigger investment. As we considered this additional investment, the uncertainty related to the ongoing CBA discussions linked to the current global economic climate were critical factors in our decision not to play a second game in the UK.
"Our ambition to bring a second game to the UK is as strong as ever. Once the current uncertainty is resolved, we will be in a strong position to bring multiple games to our UK fanbase."
The full schedule for ticket sales schedule for the Broncos-49ers game is:
Jan 27: Register of Interest Closes
Jan 28: Club seats on sale to Register of Interest
Feb 1: General Admission seats on sale to Register of Interest
Friday Feb 5: General Admission seats on public sale
People that have registered their interest in tickets for the 2010 NFL International Series game will receive an email in the next 24 hours outlining how they can buy tickets.
