St Louis Rams rookie quarterback Sam Bradford has signed his first NFL contract, which includes $50 million in guaranteed money - the most ever given to an NFL player. Bradford's contract is worth $78 million in total over six years.

Terrell Owens arrived in Cincinnati on Thursday, but like almost everything else he does, it was not without an element of drama. Owens missed the flight that was originally due to get him to his new home on Thursday morning, eventually showing up later in the day to hit the practice field and meet members of the Bengals' media.

The San Diego Chargers could enter training camp with three of their Pro Bowl players not under contract, but they have given another offensive star a new deal. While tackle Marcus McNeill, linebacker Shawne Merriman and receiver Vincent Jackson remain unsigned, the Chargers have handed tight end Antonio Gates a five-year, $36.175 million contract extension which averages $7.235 million per season from 2011 to 2015.

After spending most of the off-season complaining about his team's change to a 3-4 defense, Pro Bowl defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth ended his boycott of the team by reporting for training camp, meeting head coach Mike Shanahan and vowing not to be a distraction.

The Dallas Cowboys opened training camp on Saturday and all eyes were on their receiving group which included first-round draft pick Dez Bryant. The rookie - who last week became the first pick in the top round to sign a contract - was the first player on the field and the last to leave it.
