BUAFL Semi-Finalists

The Newcastle Raiders, Staffordshire Stallions, Southampton Stags and the Hertfordshire Hurricanes all head into their games this weekend with their unbeaten records on the intact, guaranteeing that one team will emerge from the inaugural BUAFL season with a perfect record.

In the Northern Conference the number two ranked Staffordshire Stallions booked their place in the Conference Game by scoring 19 unanswered points against the Leeds Celtics whilst their hosts this Sunday at the Gateshead International Stadium will be the number one seeded Newcastle Raiders who secured their berth by doing what eluded the fabled Sheriff of Nottingham and shutting out the Nottingham Outlaws in a 26-0 victory. The Raiders will be hoping that their defensive form continues as they face one of the stars of the season so far in the Stallions' Edam Goka who in his rookie season has set the Northern Conference alight.

In the South the Birmingham Lions and the Bath Killer Bees failed to stop two of the most powerful offences in student football with the Hertfordshire Hurricanes and the number one rated Southampton Stags running out 46-24 and 35-13 winners respectively.

In a match-up which could be described as the unstoppable force of Southampton's pairing of Quarterback Katnik and Running Back Tam Amachree against the unstoppable force of the Hurricanes' rocket Running Back Issam Affoury it could be the defensive coaches for each team who hold the key to their team's progression into the National Championship Game.
